Each Settings feature develops a specific environment or area where adventures might take place. Our preferred format for helping GMs out is to create a milieux — a suite of setting-related adventure seeds, locations, and information that enables them to roll with the decisions of PCs. Unlike adventure modules that may have a specific story line, milieus simply set the scene, establish the key NPCs and their motivations, and lay down plot hooks (and bait!) for PC parties to nibble on. Many of the articles in Settings will build toward the development of a full milieu.
